Orsaken till dessa effekter kan vara den stora m\u00e4ngden om\u00e4ttade fettsyror i kombination med antioxidanter som klorofyll, samt den unika balansen av n\u00e4rings\u00e4mnen i CVB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>OKAMOTO et al. rapporterade att n\u00e4r hypertensiva r\u00e5ttor behandlades med CVB sj\u00f6nk deras blodtryck med 63 mmHg en timme efter intraven\u00f6s administrering och med 47 mmHg tv\u00e5 timmar efter intraperitoneal administrering. \u00c4ven r\u00e5ttornas normala blodtryck sj\u00f6nk med 32 mm Hg en timme efter administrering [38].<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De anti-lipidemiska och anti-aterosklerotiska effekterna av CVB studerades av SANO et al med hj\u00e4lp av japanska vita hankaniner. En tioveckors kolesterolrik diet \u00f6kade markant niv\u00e5erna av totalkolesterol och beta-lipoproteinkolesterol i serum och orsakade ateromat\u00f6s aortal\u00e4sion. I den grupp som fick chlorella och utfodrades med en kolesterolrik diet inneh\u00e5llande 1% chlorella vulgaris-pulver, undertrycktes \u00f6kningen av total- och beta-lipoproteinkolesterolniv\u00e5erna. Dessutom h\u00e4mmades utvecklingen av ateromat\u00f6sa aortal\u00e4sioner avsev\u00e4rt. Clofibrat, som anv\u00e4ndes som positiv kontroll i detta experiment, visade ingen h\u00e4mmande effekt [39]. Liknande effekter observerades efter oral administrering av CVE till r\u00e5ttor som matades med kolesterol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00d6kningen av serumlipider h\u00e4mmades i n\u00e4stan samma utstr\u00e4ckning av utfodring med CVE och CVB. Fekal uts\u00f6ndring av steroider (kolesterol, deoxikolsyra och litokolsyra) \u00f6kade ocks\u00e5.
